eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) helps the brain reprocess distressing experiences, allowing for relief from trauma, anxiety, and stuck patterns. rather than focusing only on talking through the past, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements or tapping. sessions focus on making memories feel less overwhelming so you can experience more ease and presence in everyday life.

i specialize in working with:
adults impacted by early family dynamics that felt emotionally absent, unpredictable, or overwhelming
people navigating relationship anxiety, insecure attachment, or patterns of emotional disconnection
chronic overthinkers who tend to live in their thoughts, second-guess themselves, or struggle to feel grounded
individuals who are self-critical, perfectionistic, or carrying a lot of emotional weight
clients working through shame, low self-worth, and difficulty feeling secure within themselves
those who are wanting to make sense of how earlier experiences shape present-day patterns in relationships and self-perception
my approach
i approach therapy with the belief that people do not need to be fixed, but understood. i take an integrative, relational approach that draws from mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment-based, and psychodynamic therapy.
my work is grounded in the perspective that many of the patterns people struggle with (e.g. overthinking, self-criticism, emotional distance), often developed in childhood as ways to cope and stay safe. i focus on helping you understand where these patterns come from and what they have been trying to protect.
in sessions, we explore how past experiences shape present-day relationships with yourself and others. in making space for those patterns to be seen and understood with compassion, new ways of relating to yourself and your life can begin to emerge.
i also use EMDR to target entrenched negative beliefs and help process distressing or traumatic experiences that continue to impact how you see yourself and move through the world.

over time, clients i work with often feel more kind toward themselves, more in control of their emotions, and more connected to their values, relationships, and inner voice.
at the core of my work is the belief that you deserve to be understood in the places you’ve often felt alone. together, we explore your story with care so you can grow into a more compassionate relationship with yourself and others.
